We’re here for you.
We know you’ve always been there for your comrades in the service, for everybody back home, and for every single person you’ve helped across the world. Some of you still are carrying out this mission; some of you have recently ended your service or will be soon. The least we can do is hear what you have to say. We’ve proudly set up this blog to do exactly that
The staff of MilitaryStars has been there too, personally and through their families. We are a veteran-founded company created with the idea that no one who has given so honorably of themselves should be without the best opportunity to find a career. Over 220,000 soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, and coasties transition every year. Through our own experiences in HR, recruiting, working here at MilitaryStars, and simply talking to friends and acquaintances going through the process, we get asked all the time what it’s like out here in the “real world” – as if what you’ve been through wasn’t “real” enough, right?
Keep that in mind as you think about your civilian job search experience, dealing with all the wonderful headaches, red tape, unanswered messages, frustrating interviews, or any other favorite memories. After everything you’ve achieved in the military, you can handle this stuff. The key is remembering some very simple, very wise words from the service, passed around this office quite a bit and crucial to the accomplishment of any mission:
“Find your buddy.”
As we head into 2006, we’re determined to take this idea as far as we can, using this blog to create a forum of information and resources for transitioning personnel. We’ll be answering your questions and bringing attention to the entire military community, promoting the value of veterans and reaching out to those interested in providing veterans with opportunities. At the same time, by reaching out to each other, we can create a community of military and industry professionals committed to the success of transitioning veterans.
Be on the lookout as we start up for topics to help you transition into a new career, and in the future, for ideas on everything from going back to college or trade school to franchising your own business. Joining us along the way will be special contributors – employers, recruiters, military professionals, and others who can use their knowledge and experience to help us build.
Of course, this includes you. This is your blog – ask us questions, tell us what you think and what you want to see, and let us point you to success. You can either respond at the end of a post or email us directly. We look forward to hearing from you.
Let the blogging begin…

I just thought you would want to share this other Wisconsin Veterans. According to the Wisconsin Department of Veteran Affairs, all WI veterans will recieve up to 8 full time semesters of college at any state collage in WI for NO COST TO THE VETERAN. A free bachelors degree. And becasue this is seperate from your federal MGIB, use that to get your graduate degree.
